hi, welcome to ftf!! this site will tell what parish registers are available:
    County Kilkenny Catholic Parish Records

this is also a good place to start:
    GENUKI: County Kilkenny
you'll be able to browse to see whats there.

and this site is good too:
County Kilkenny Genealogy Links - geneology

    hope they help a bit.

the parish records seem to be kept at the national library of ireland. some records begin as early as 1777 in some parishes of kilkenny.

good news. the lds, mormons, latter day saints, have filmed them. so you will be able to order them through the closest lds centre.

        Welcome to FTF

Parish records for Ireland, that is those pre 1864 for Roman Catholics and slightly earlier for protestant records are still with all the parish churches all over Ireland. Microfiche copies are at the Dublin National Library for Catholic records and at the Dublin National Archives for protestant records. The LDS have filmed many records, but you will find that the ones filmed are for those statutory records after 1864 rather than pre 1864.

It is always more helpful to know the townland they came from as well as the county. Baird does not seem too common in Kilkkenny or Tipperary but Cullen unfortunately is a very popular name in Ireland, and many just over the border into Tipperary. One of the best places to research Irish Info is through Griffiths Valuation which can be found at:

The above is the free site though not all are on here.

The site below is a pay per view site:

Trace your ancestry and build a family tree by researching extensive birth records, census data, obituaries and more - over 5 billion records - start today!

All are on the above site.

If you find the family on Griffiths you could then try Tithe Aplotments but not all are on TA.

You can also try the following pay per view site but be aware that not everybody is on here.

Online Irish ancestral Birth, Death and Marriage records for Ireland. Irish Genealogy research center - Irish Family History Foundation

Look in the Wikki for Irish research and further advice.
