Anybody living in Biggleswade?

I hope you don't mond me asking, but is there anybody living in Biggleswade who doesn't mind looking at an address for me?

I have a relative William Chiddicks who died in 1924 and on his death cert he was living at 40, Shortmead Street, Biggleswade. If the address and house are still in existence, I will make a trip (I am in Cheshire), take some pictures etc, but didn't want to come all the way if the house was no longer there.

I might be able to go for you if no one else can help, to see if no. 40 still exists - though of course the street could have been renumbered since 1924.

A Biggleswade resident.

Most of the skyline remains unaltered from the High Street and down Shortmead Street . The old Livery Stable is now a Church.

Nice to see sash windows in use still and that rather angular Bay window .

The nice arch on the window of the house next door looks good too.

Alot of Biggleswade still maintains the roof line of the early a couple o f doors down is a very much unchanged Antique shop Pictured below if this works;-



The inside is like a house that needs a bit of tidying so much stuff of a bygone era.
