I have obtained copy of my Grand Fathers Birth Certificate Cyril Horice Jenkins Montgomery
Born 02-05-1889 Cobram Vic. His Father is Henry Montgomery Born 1855, married Alice Marie Lesurieur 26-08-1882, Born 1862. Siblings of Cyril, Alice Born 1883, Henry Clarence Authur Born 1885 and Ada Daphine 1887. I can not find Henry Montgomery's father or mother's details. Can you help.

According to my Grand Fathers birth certificate it has Henry in Geelong and Alice his wife in Ashby. I gather both being in Victoria Australia. I have just sent email off to Vic BMD asking for Henry's birth cetificate. Mary tried data base but was unable to come up with Henry's information. Cheers Monty59

Henry MONTGOMERY married Alice Maria LESUEUR in 1882,reg no 4677. This certificate should have both parents. It also says Henry born Geelong, but a couple of possibilities for birth of Henry.

Alice Marie MONTGOMERY died 1917 aged 59 at Carlton,reg no 7685
Father: Le Sueur Jas
Mother: Elizth REEDY

does monty know aus bmd's are available online? if you have the money, you can get the actual certs very quickly, but the indexes work so much better, allowing you to get pretty far back then confirm things with the certs. i feel so lucky having australian ancestors, so much more detailed than uk certs.
