Hi,

Most likely they had died before 1871. The registration district for Melbecks was Reeth.

There's more than one possible death registered for William in Reeth.

This is probably Eleanor's : Eleanor Pratt born abt 1812, death registered 4th qrt, Reeth North Yorks, vol 9d page 355

Melbecks is in Reeth, North Yorkshire

I think William may have too? Possibly(?) either:
Deaths Sep 1862 Pratt William Reeth 9d 313
Deaths Mar 1865 PRATT William Reeth 9d 578

There are also several marriages that might be for the girls?

Farming in that area is still a challenge (Google Hannah Hauxwell) and must have been far worse 150 years ago.

as far as i know, most of my family from there were miners for coal or lead. i think the pratt's are unusual in my family for being carpenter's.
