    another from my long-lost 3rd cousin, I'm over the moon at what she's been sending me.

    This is our gt grandfather. Born 1833, & this photo is actually dated on the back - 1863. he was a tailor in Esher.
    Its the same chap I posted last week, that was taken in the late 1890's.



    don't mind if its kept as sepia or converted to b&w, whichever is the easiest to work with.

              I actually try to keep the photo as close to original as possible, warts and all (minus the damage of course). I think the sepia adds to the charm of the photo. When I tint a photo, I make the tint transluscent to allow the image to bleed through.

              Just my preference, mind you. I've seen some gorgeous facial work done that look like paintings.
