The 1916-2005 transcriptions of the Marriage and Birth Indexes are a great resource BUT would be even better if they were more reliable. Unfortunately these transcriptions via OCR leave a lot to be desired. I have sent in many corrections and I am not a very busy user. (I must admit the quality of the source is not too good to start with but....)
If searching for a "Jones/Smith" wedding you are very likely to get a different result with a "Smith/Jones" search.
There is no obvious way to submit corrections for "spouse" or "MMN" .
Am I just unlucky or are others finding a very high error rate?
