  • London marriage help please

    Hello all

I was just wondering if somebody could help me locate the marriage of William Cox and Christiana Harriott?

Christiana was born in Tottenham Middlesex and they had their 1st child in Southwark in 1831.

William was born c1809 and Christiana was born c1807.

    Any help would be fantastic.

Also if anybody happens across Christiana's birth I would love to know

    Danny

I'm not sure what the T is, I've got one that says T Hackney. Hopefully someone else will know.

I think you're right about the other bit - Holy Trinity, St Marylebone

Thankyou for finding that for me Jackie

Do you happen to know where the records are now kept for that church as it looks to be closed now?

I believe they're at the London Metropolitan Archives (LMA)

            Family research

Click on the London Generations database and you can search in there - you won't be able to see the actual register but it will tell you if they hold it. I don't know if copies are available elsewhere

I'm not 100% certain, but I think that the "T" indicates that the Pallots entry was based on the Bishops transcripts rather than the original parish register.
