    I should really know the answer to this :o but were Soldiers serving abroad included in the census and if so is it searchable?

    The Royal Navy at Sea section lists naval men, but I don't know what the situation was for the Army.

      Thanks Elizabeth - I think I've found my own answer! Apparently the authorities supplied the numbers of men serving abroad and their ranks but no other details:(
