    Found an interesting rellie's attestation record on Ancestry & wondered if anyone here (UK) had ordered service records sucessfully.

    I thought there was a free point of access somewhere through their archives? Perhaps it was just when Ancestry.ca was having a freebie.

        Yes, I ordered (and received) my grandfather's records about 3 years ago. It worked out rather expensive as there were a lot of sheets (more than the maximum suggested by the website) - unfortunately most of them were repetitious medical records. As far as I know it's not possible to discover the number of pages before ordering, unless they've changed the system.

            I've got the 2 page attestation papers from Ancestry so it's the full service record i'm after.
