  • John Watchorn... any ideas folks?

Once again my Watchorns are giving me the run around.

Right, I have John Watchen b. 01 Jun 1791 and his twin sister Sarah Watchen. (both bapt on this date)

Parents are George Watchorn & Mary Rippon they marry in Melton Mowbray 18th Oct 1790.

Sarah the twin dies 16 days after being bapt.

I can only find a John Watchorn on the 1841 census with a Sarah ? (Possibly his wife) nothing after that. can anyone see him please...

I don't even know IF this John is my John, but he seems to be the only one that fits the bill.

this is the link for the 1841 census

    - Ancestry.co.uk

or can anyone see a marriage between John and Sarah? according to 1841 she wasnt born in county either. :(

        Greeting’s Julie…..

Could not see a Marriage within Leicestershire. 1801 ~37.

Neither could I find them 1851.

But did notice this Burial :~

        1843.

St: Michael & All Angels Parish Church.
        Edmondthorpe.

        Parish Burial Register No’. 104.

        John WATCHORN.
        Abode. …Edmondthorpe.
        6th. March.
        Aged….48.

        Death Index Records
        Jan ~ Feb. ~ Mar. Qrt. 1843.
        John Watchorn.
        Melton Mowbray District.
        Cert No’. 15. 149.

Edmondthorpe is only 0.8 Miles due south of Wymondham
Which might explain why we can not see them 1851.

          ohhh hello mike...

          long time no see

many thanks for this, I am wondering now if this is he, I know from the 41 he was (if he is mine) that he was in Wymondham.. which isnt that far either from edmonthorpe..

I wish this family would be easier to flippin find... you would think that watchorn would be easy....
