Have the marriage certificate of Joseph Walter Pigg (born 1854) and Emily Louisa Blewitt (born 1855) married 5th July 1874 Parish Church of St. Andrew, Romford. Essex.

Father of Joseph is George Pigg and of Emily is Henry Charles Blewitt.

Witnesses Josia Fryer-Kelsey and Eliza Blewitt,

Can anyone find them please? Sometimes PIGG becomes PEGG

    Thanks

    Linda

Nothing obvious on soundex but I've found a possible in Essex indexed as PATES. Joseph, wife Emily and Eliza who is given as Pates as well, a widowed mother. Joseph is a parish clerk.

There's a Henry C BLEWITT (farm labourer) in Romford with a wife Charlotte E. Could she have used her middle name? Or maybe Eliza is the bride's sister?

Hi, Thanks for trying to help

Henry and Charlotte are Emily's parents and Eliza is her sister

Don't think the Pates family are the right ones.

Emily in 1861 with parents and siblings. She had a sister eliza 2 years younger, she could have been the marriage witness.

I can't see Emily at all in 1871. Off to pubquiz now. Hope this has been of some help.
