if you open up windows photo gallery then click on file at the top then scroll down to options you can check for updates

when you have the windows photo gallery opened do you have all the files on the left and at the top do you have File fix info etc along the top ?
click on file then options and in general there is a box which says check for updates is yours ticked already ????
you can still click on it and check

The only options/choices in my drop down box Val are.......

Delete
Rename
Make a copy
Revert to original
Copy
Properties
Exit

Don't have files on the left Val either.......think my version must need updating, hence the reason I put the thread up.

Val mine doesnt have that either just new and list comes down but no properties and close which shuts the photo gallery ;;thats with Vista ;;;

mine is Vista Babs how are you opening photo gallery??
I am going to start then clcik on windows photo gallery I then get a list on the left with all my folders etc and above a list of things to do ??
File .Fix .Info. Print. Email .Burn .Make a Movie .Open

Found mine Val thanks......didn't realise you were going in from start. It appears I am running the most updated version at the moment, and no updates are available.

If I clixk on start all that comes up is my pictures looked down list and photo gallery not mentioned at all ;;if I open my picture get the list at top ;;edit view tools and help , click onto edit and just get what I said before new , rest blanked out and close ;;
mine is Vist premium

Gosg you go long way round to get to your photos , right Im like Jen done that and got latest version even though mine flashes on and off the screen lol

Oh you beat me to it Babs lol! I always just go into windows through whatever photo I wish to view/alter......but glad Val does go the long way around because I hadn't explored that way, so will know for the future.

Well yes very true but she had me beat there as I had never gone in that way and my keypad has button for pictures and I just press that lol
