I am visiting Wales next week to do some research, and thought i had better check opening times etc.
When i rang the cemetery dept at Merthyr Tydfil council to enquire about opening times, i spoke to a wonderful lady who not only gave me the info i wanted, but went out of her way to look up details and dates on her computer.
Not only did i get what i was looking for , she also gave me the grave no's and told me who else was buried with my G Grandparents, including a son who i have never been able to trace. She managed in a 20 minute phone call to gather info for me that would have probably taken me hours of searching.
Just to say that there are some very lovely people out there
and not all are jobsworths.
