I know most people use Google, but for Australian research you will get much more if you use Google.com.au

Use it exactly the same as whichever one you are currently using, but click the Australia box under the search box.

That's a good tip. I discovered it a few months ago - got a lot more hits for the name I was looking for in Australia than when using my "local" Canadian google.
