    Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has access to findmypast can kindly have a look at the 1861 census for Peter and Mary Nicholls no date for birth given only ? for age. They are at St Saviour Southwark, London.

Just had a look on Ancestry and can see this one

Peter Nicholls c1787 Sudbury, Suffolk - occ. barge builder
Mary Nicholls c 1800 Chobham, Kent

    living St Saviour Southwark, Christchurh.

Is that the one you want?

Yes and no! Thanks very much for looking. I shall explain, - I am having to use a process of elimination regarding this line. I know for certain that the above couple are not mine, so thanks for confirming their whereabouts. I am looking for Peter and Mary on the 61 census, but not this couple. I think my couple died, but wanted to make sure.

Have you found your couple in 1851 - if so can you give the reference - or some more details about them, for example year and place of birth.

absolutely fantastic of you to find them! Whoopee! I have been trying to find him/her to determin deaths and to see about a Will. This pair seem the most likely to be mine (having eliminated one of three already). I somehow don't think they will be on the 71 so this narrows it down.

Many thanks for your kind help.

Thanks for the death for Mary, looks like her. And a possible for Peter 1862. SO I am looking for a possible will for Mary.

                  sorry d 1864

Thanks Elaine, much appreciated. Very interesting, to have a grandson, he may prove useful, if I am following the right family. I was thinking of buying death certs to see if that throws up anything. I may have to buy for two families so will have to see.

                            thanks again,
