Ellen and Henry Reed are in Pickering North Yorks in 1911. Need credits for further details.

Could not see any of the others positively.

thank you for that. this family is more difficult than i like. with such an uncommon name in durham, you'd think they would be easy to trace!! ther nothing compared to their fathers generation, he was one of 17!! that will be more difficult!!

I think this might be William in 1881 in Rawdon, Yorkshire

          RG11 piece 4334, folio 60, page 35

Now down as William Cooper 38, painter born Neasham (transcribed as Heasham).
Anna Cooper, wife 37 b Udimore, Sussex
          Elanor, daughter 7 b Middlesboro
          Annie 4 Middlesboro
          Matthew 2 Middlesboro

It could well be because I'm struggling to find him or his wife after 1891

                Possible death for Anna/Annie

                Q/E March 1896 Westwick Annie 50 Huddersfield

it's starting to look likely isnt it!
i cant see either of them in 1911, so i think those are likely.

I think I've found Mary on the 1891 census

                      Transcribed Lucar, not Lucas

Address 10 Abyssinia Grove, West Leeds

Charles Lucar born New Malton, Yorkshire age 38 occ French Polisher
Mary Lucar born Carlton, Durham age 39
Elizabeth Lucar age 6 born Leeds
Ethel Lucar age 5 born Leeds

Off to try the 1881 now.....

No luck yet with 1881, but have found Charles Lucas on 1871 census

Address 16 2nd Avenue Wortley, nr Leeds

Joseph Lucas Head Married age 40 born Norton French Polisher
Eliza Lucas Wife Married age 44 born Malton
Charles Lucas son unmarried 18 (no place of birth given) French Polisher

so will now look for Mary on the 1871

Can't find any more info for Mary so far, but have found some for Margaret

                          Found a death entry
                          Margaret Westwick born abt 1862
                          died 1Q 1879 Richmond Yorks, age 17

also checked census for possible marriage you mentioned and found on 1881 & 1891 census

William Nicholas born 1851 in Wales
Margaret Nicholas also born 1851 in Wales, so don't think this is your Margaret

Off to bed now, but will have another look for more tomorrow
