Is there some reason why email attachments would disappear off an old email in my Windows Mail inbox on Vista? The attachments are still shown, but when I click on them it says it can't find them.

Wow, that's weird, when I clicked to download the attachment it worked fine, and I can open it from where I have saved it, but if I try to open it directly from the email it says it can't find it?KiteRunner

Do you think it could be anything to do with something Vista does from time to time which is to "compact the message store" or something like that? It doesn't really seem to give me a choice as to whether it should do it or not.KiteRunner
