  • Why am I unable to find the death record for my husbands great grandparents?

I am trying to work on the family tree for my husband and thanks to a contact now know where his great grandparents are buried. They died and were buried in Leeds in 1962 and 1954, they were Rebecca and Reuben Jacobs and are buried at the New Farnley cemetery, which is Jewish. I have looked on ancestry and have been unable to find a record, is there something that makes Jewish burials exempt?

Have you been searching in the complete indexes (ie: untranscribed ones)?

In the period you are looking for you have to look at the images to find the entries. Let me know if you don't have access and I'll see if I can find them

Thank you very much. I must have been looking in the wrong place without realising it.
