  • 1911 Irish census HELP

    I was hoping to find what Regiment a Soldier would be in ?? he is listed in the Victoria Barracks Cork but I cannot quite understand what he is
    Have saved the image if some kind person would take a look please ???

    I read it as Sergeant Mil: Provost Staff Corps.

        thanks so much Richard really appreciate ,it so it does not say if he is in the Hampshire regt then ??? thats what I was hoping it would say.

          Val, no mention of Hampshire reg on that form that I can see but maybe he was transferred there from the Hampshires? I know my WWI soldiers were often transferred from regiment to regiment, not sure how common it was before though during peace time?
