Lots of churches were bombed and lost records, but the Somerset House records appear to have survived unscathed (and I think that the actual records as well as the indexes would have been together then) But whether individual offices were disrupted is a different matter. If she knows an individual district, a direct query to the office might be worthwhile.Phoenix - with charred feathers
