  • Is anyone able to help me please?

The Devon Family History Society kindly sent me a death record taken from records at St Andrews church Plymouth for William Semain aged 10 months who died/buried 26/3/1837

Is there anyone who could look up a possible birth for me - 10 months before, as I would love to know just who his parents were. Assuming they were in Plymouth at the time of the birth and not just 'passing through' seeing as how it was a naval city.
Spelling variations are more than possible, but at least the search is narrowed down to about a 4 month span.

(They kindly hadn't charged me for the death record so I didn't like to ask them for another favour)
    Thankyou.....fingers crossed

You could try the online parish clerk for St Andrew's

GENUKI/Devon: Plymouth St. Andrew - Genealogy
    - scroll right down towards the bottom of page

The Online Parish Clerk scheme's representative for this parish is Lin Taylor-Greep, who invites queries and lookup requests.

If you click on her name you can send an email to her. Online parish clerks do not charge for lookups!

Devon OPC page in case you need other parishes:
