        Gedcom is text only.

Don't you have it backed up in FTM format?

I backed in up in FTM for DOS uses GEDCOM but can use FTW and Family Tree Maker 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 or 11 and just plain GEDCOM have I chosen the wrong one?

Thanks for both of your help.

          Regards

If you export in FTW it will transfer the whole lot.

Phew thank you Margaret my photo's are back.

I was worried there for a minute I am so used to downloading my FTM by Gedcom I didn't realise it was text only.

If you follow the link it will take you to a wiki article telling you the difference between the .FTW .FBK .FBC and .GED files created by Family Tree Maker.
