  • Photo restoration

Hi, I've been having a look on here and I must say I am amazed at the results people have achieved on restoring other peoples photographs.
I wonder if anyone would be kind enough to have a look at a couple for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I'd be thrilled to see them in a better state. TIA

You need to scan them at 300 to 600 dpi for best results. They are far to blocky to do anything with at the moment.

It is also better to upload images using Photobucket.

Hello both, thank you so much for the speedy response!
Unfortunately I don't own the pictures but I will send a copy of this to my Dads cousin who does to see if she has the originals and can do anymore with them.
Thanks for the upload guide too.

The bigger the better Babs ~ we need to eliminate any pixellation in order to get in close and have a good twiddle with the detail.

With the free account (which is what I have) then 1 megabyte is the max size.

But of course it is Brian !!!! :(
There are many other technical terms which come up as asterisks when we try using them on here

Are you recovering OK ? It's been very quiet
