Rpbert Thomson - can't find his birth on ancestry

I have been able to find Robert' Thom(p)son's death and marriages under ancestry but not his birth.

According to family search and what I have been able to piece together from the censuses, he was christened on 2nd May 1802 Saint Luke, Chelsea, London, England.

I want to be able to order a birth certificate, so that I can verify his parents names, which I believe to be Peter and Isabella. I have been able to verify Isabella from the census in 1841. He married Amelia in 1840 and then Eliz in 1863.

Can anyone tell me where to look as I have no idea where to go from here please.

The BMD index doesn't start until 1837.

Before that you need Parish Registers, there are very few online and you'll very likely only get a baptism date.

You'd be able to verify his fathers name from his marriage certificates.

Have sorted out the marriage certificate references and sent for the certificates.
