Does anybody know why the 1911 census records have a blank white space in the right hand columns?

I find such replies very annoying as they help the National Archives and other government offices run roughshod over legislation designed to help us.
Unfortunately that page is misleading and is inaccurate, as is John's reply.
First the 100 year rule instigated by the Lord Chancellor's Instrument No. 12, 1966 was repealed by the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
This means that the 100 year rule cannot be applied as there is no legislation to support it.
Second the last column being redacted.
The Information Commissioner did not rule that the last column should be redacted in fact very far from that.
The legislation specifically prohibits such general redaction of information.
The Information Commissioner in his ruling stated that only sensitive information be redacted and that each case had to be judged on its merits.
By redacting a complete column the National Archives have broken the law and in fact committed a contempt of court.
Though I assume they will pass the buck and claim that it was the third party supplier Findmypast that redacted the column.
Cheers
