am i right that if the father was dead it would say deceased on marriage cert? the wedding was in 1932.

In my experience there's no hard & fast rule, father's who are very much still alive shown as deceased & vice versa.JayComment

ok thanks.
i cant find a death prior to marriage for grt grandad and he is listed on marriage cert but it doesnt say deceased etc. but there again with a name of arthur mitchell and 2 areas of living - yorkshire and peterborough i dont have much hope!**no point asking the living for help as the dead are more helpful!!!**
