  • Looking for Rebecca.

Can anyone find a Rebecca Wheeldon prior to her marriage to William Timms in Birmingham in 1856, please.
Her name is on the IGI and Ancestry marriage index as Whelldon, but one of their children is later named Joseph Wheeldon Timms.

The family lived in Tanworth-in-Arden, and Rebecca gives her pob as Kings Norton c 1834.
I have them on the 1861 census onwards, but can't see her on any earlier ones.

    Thanks
    Helen

Searching just with Reb*a age 17 and Kings Norton in the keywords only gave me 2 Rebeccas with a y.o.b. anywhere near 1834 - Flavell and Parkes. So she's well hidden.

I'm wondering if she married a Wheeldon first and was widowed, although she would've been young.
This is just a loose end, but she's the second Wheeldon to marry into the family - or rather, she was the first, but I been aware of the other for longer.

The other is Keturah Wheeldon who married Matthew Morrall in 1876. Keturah was also born in Kings Norton, c 1830, and I have found her on the early censii.

The Timms appear to have had a daughter, c1870 who they named Keturah Elizabeth Timms.
