  • 1911 shocks!!

i just found my *beloved* morton's. they have caused me many ounces of difficulty, and are showing me no signs of giving up!!

    1) thomas henry morton married florence conway in 1892, wandsworth.
so, i have florence, formerly conway, saying she had 6 kids!! i only knew of 5!
thomas conway, john henry, cyril, leonard and florence. now, i find she has a child who died.

and i can't find anything easy!! the first three were born in 1894, 1896 and 1898 london, next in 1900 hunslet, and last in 1905 bramley. where should i be looking for this mystery child?
    i found a plausible, but couldn't find a death.

    2) the next one made me laugh! florence's mother sarah conway claims she was married! sarah has been a *widow* since 1881. she claims to have put in 43 years of marriage. i'd believe that if she ever got married! that's the age her son would have been had he lived to 1911.

i guess that is one. i don't recognise the names though. but then again cyril and leonard arn't in the tree previously either!

but it can't be one, as my family were still in london at that time. there are fifty at least that could be right.

As it is between census perhaps the only way to find out would be Parish records - were the others baptised?
