I don't think that removing his hat will make any difference to his face!!! It won't magically make the shadow disappear!!!:D:D:D

You could lighten the shadow under the cap using the Dodge tool, but that wouldn't give any better definition to his eyes, I'm afraid.

Margaret it's not impossible to remove his hat, but I'd have to rebuild his head!!!! Wouldn't help with his overall features though, I'm afraid.
