Gentle colour would not go amiss but it's always a matter of choice.

If you have the original, then might you be able to scan it again at 300 or a little more ~ without reducing the scale ?

It's a beautifully simple photograph, showing the fashion of the day, but lacking detail (fuzzy) at present because of the file size.

I'll show you what it looks like enlarged a little at this low resolution, so you can see what I mean

No I don't have the original Rachel, it was sent to me via email from a contact a long while ago. The old lady was OH's 3 x great grandmother. She lived from 1807-1902.

OK will go with that ;)
Erm ... just need to ask ... if you used Photobucket, do you have the File size option set at the maximum ?

1 megabyte if you have free account

        apologies if I've asked before

Sadly no ~ it's the same

No matter, I've sharpened it as much as I can and it's looking pretty

                2 versions from me

Can not tell if that dark shading on the cottage wall is a blemish on the photograph or a damp patch on the pebbledash will remove it if you prefer.

Also the gable end is confusing. The thatch should have a thickness, but it looks like wooden facia with no evidence of thatch on the left.

Happy to alter any bits/colour etc.

                    Rachel

                    They are great.

Can you remove the blemish do you think?
