  • Burial in Blyth, Northumberland

    Hello,

My great great grandparents died in Blyth, Northumberland in 1935 and 1944.

The lived in Nineteenth Avenue. Does anyone know where they are likely to have been buried? Are there any cemeteries?

    Thanks for looking,

    Tom

    Hi Tom

Here's a link to the Cemeteries covered by the new Northumberland Council, that's replaced Blyth Valley Borough Council from 1/4/09

    Cemeteries

There looks to be 2 cemteries Blyth Cowpen & Blyth Links.

      Thanks Jay.

I think the Cowpen might be worth a try as the family often give their place of birth as Cowpen or Cowpen Quay.

      Thanks again.

There's two possible Cemeteries for their burial, Cowpen Cemetery which is that largest of the two and Blyth Cemetery which is right on the sea front opposite the beach.

Thanks for that. I have since found out they are in Cowpen Cemetery
