  • Census lookup needed please........

Would someone mind looking up the following for me please..........?

Would like 1861 and 1871 if possible..........

Wife and family of Charles Hares (May be spelt Haers) Born 1834
Shipham Somerset. In 1851 his occupation was Hatter.

I know his wife's name was Kezia...........as I have had this info before and guess what.........lost it!:o

On one census (maybe 1861) his occupation was cabinet maker.

They were residing in Bristol............either st Philips or st Pauls...
I don't presently subscribe to ancestry so would appreciate any info thankyou.

Thanks Merry, they're the ones, remember the details now. Don't think I found them in the 1871 either.
      Appreciate it Merry.

OMG Jeanette, thankyou..........saw this through my thread on general.
So Charles and 2 of their children died, and she remarried? What a shock.
Charles was the only sibling of my great Grandmother Frances Hares.

Just spotted that she named her next daughter Frances......I wonder!

Charles and young William died close....illness perhaps?

I wondered about illness too Jen.

The fact that Charles's sister was called Frances too seems to make it all seem more plausible too ;)

Exactly Jeanette, it would appear to be the correct family. What a pity we can't always discover exactly what happened in such cases!
Charles would have only been about 27........didn't they die young in so many cases?
