  • What was Henry's occupation?

    Could some kind soul have a look at RG10 Piece 4509 Folio 70 Page 6 for me and see if you can decipher what Henry Smith's occupation was.

    His other occupations included Cotton Weaver, Baker and Preserves Dealer and latterly, Commercial Traveller - obviously a man of many talents :D

        There's a Worsted Overlooker (I think) on page 4 for comparison
        and page 3 has various Weavers

            An overlooker in a textile mill is a sort of foreman. These days they might be a team leader.
