    help needed please

    Hi
    I am trying to find the second marriage of my Grandmother,Myra Hummerston(mn Davies). I know she married Ernest William George Wheeler in July 1951, this info came from Ernest's son, but can find no records.

    I have tried searching with maiden name and married name, but no luck. Does this have something to do with the dates? or am i just missing something?

      Its there but you have to look in the full indexes on Ancestry because they haven't been transcribed yet

          Marie, you won't find it in the ordinary searchable (FreeBMD index); after about 1930 you have to search the complete index quarter by quarter:

          England & Wales, Marriage Index: 1837-1983 - Ancestry.co.uk
