    Hello,
I know I've seen talk about this, but I can't find relevant threads, apologies!

Where do I find/can I find births abroad?
I have a family I'm investigating but the child I need was born 1826 Gibraltar. Nothing on IGI that I can see.

From later censuses it states the father was 'Army' and 'Chelsea Pensioner' (although he was living with family, am I misunderstanding what a Chelsea Pensioner was in 1851?) I know I've seen mention of Army chaplain's records?

Is the only way to find Army records to visit Kew?
I am confused by the website, it lists WO** numbers, but when I click it seems like a random search page!

You will find Overseas BMDs on FindmyPast.

For the Army records have you tried searching the National Archives catalogue - put WO 97 in for the reference.
