  • Need Help finding Coronor's report

    Hello to all..

I have just found out that my 5 x great grandfather on my nan's side committed suicide in 1865.

I was wondering if i can get of the coronors report ? Or if anyone can look for me for any newspaper reports on this suicide?

    Details are below.

    Michael Wheatley

Died on the 6th July 1865 at Bromley, Middlesex age 44, from Self Hanging.

A John Humphreys was the coronor for hid death as stated on his death certificate, any help would be very gratful. As i can not afford the pre-paid sites, or if someone can point me in the right direction.

    Thx
    Steve

hallo. You are lucky Monty found that for you, most newspapers aren't online.

Coroners' reports don't always survive but where they do they are likely to be in the relevant records office, as are the local newspapers. As you have an exact date it shouldn't be too difficult for the records office to find the info and photocopy it for you, but they will charge.
