Ancestry hints?

Twice this weekend I have had "hints" on Ancestry and when I have clicked on them a message comes up saying that the hint has been removed as it relates to a tree which has been removed or made private.

Removed I understand, but made private puzzled me. I have just made my tree private and wanted to check that people would be able to find me via the "hints" as I would love to find more living rellies as I don't have many!;)

The hints are only available for public trees. People will still be able to find your tree if they do a manual search.
