i spent ages yesterday trying to find my mums real dad and his parents with no luck.
the family name was haylock, grandad was reginald edward, his sister was dora louise, father george robert and mother alice adelaide (mason).
reg was born 1903 romford essex
dora was born 1904 alcester warwickshire
george was born 1880 swaffham bulbeck cambs
alice was born 1879 shoreditch london
dora, george and alice all died in emsworth/chichester hampshire after 1970's and reg died in ely again 1970's. in 1921 reg was kent (not sure about the rest of the family as he joined the army there.
in 1891 the family was using georges grandfathers name of bigmore (the family swapped back and forth over the yrs). there is a dora bigmore but the transcript isnt my family. i have looked at the dora haylocks as well and again not mine. i am fast running out of credits and no m9oney to get more this week(lol).
any ideas on varriants of name i can try?
