There is a Margaret Mole on 1911 census in Tynemouth born 1883. of course you need credits to see if it is 'yours'.

there is also a Mary Hole b 1883 living in Auckland in 1911.
i also checked freebmd and only death for anthony mole is Sept 1930 aged 62 which would make his dob 1868?but it is in Castle Ward in North East.
cant find any children either to mole+thompson or mole+english post 1912.

Hi there are a few mary moles that are in the area and about the same age but there is no anthony readman mole or any variation on that.

Hi,
Only one I can see so far is an Anthony Mole in Gateshead, but it says he was born in 1857.

Well I looked for:
MOLE (incl. variants)
b 1883 ±3
with other occupant firstname starting with "Mar"

and couldn't get anyone with a name like "Ant(h)ony" - or even "Tony".

I tried again with 1890±3, but gave the Other Occupant a surname "Mole" + variants. And tried firstnames starting with A, T, and R - still no joy. Similarly with 1886 ±3

He seems as elusive as my Errant Grandfather - whom I still haven't managed to spot, even tho' all English counties are now available.

Yep I did all that and not a sausage but as some other posters have said there were a few, not many though, Margaret and Mary Moles! And a Margaret that looked good in Tynemouth but I don't have any credits left to look who else was with her there didn't seem to be any 'little Moles'!

I thought maybe he died but couldn't find a death reg.

I know he was alive in 1908/09 as he was executor to his step grandfather's will.

Can anyone with an a.com sub check the passenger lists? He did have a couple of aunts & uncles who when to US.

He's not a direct line, but I wanted to marry him off etc.

Why can't I find him in 1891/1901? I've worked out he's probably the son of John and Elizabeth, but that hasn't helped at all!

Yep that's his parents, but John disappears & Elizabeth's lives as husband & wife with a Smith has a few more kids, then marries someone else in 1909. She appears to follow by example as her mother did the same thing.

Anyway from memory he's a Smith in 1901 & living with his grandmother & step grandfather in 1891 under another name.

I'll just check for the refs.

Hrm, there's an Anthony Smith aged 28 in Tynemouth, but that fits with this birth
