  • 1911 help please

    hi,

i have just tried looking for my nan and her parents/siblings etc on 1911 and cant find them.

nan was amy rose bland born 1904 west ham essex. her paretns were sarah ann (crockford) and walter william bland.

there are only 2 amy's listed near her dob and neither are mine, there are loads of sarahs and sarah anns non of whiich seem to match her birth and there is no walter william.

what name variants etc would you try.

I think I've found her under "Rosie".
Household also has Walter, Sarah, Mildred and Bertha Bland.
          In West Ham district.

          edit: Snap Elaine :D

having located them, i paid for the full record. and yet again the family had more kids than i knew about. i knew of 6, 5 lived past 1911. but there were 12births in total.

well i have spent since last post going through freebmd looking for births in either downham or west ham (they moved in 1900). i found over 60. i then searched for deaths b4 1911 and i have narrowed this list down to 22. still alot more than i hoped for. could prove very expensive. lol
