Buffering problem

Whenever I want to watch media on my laptop it keeps buffering every 5 secs or so. This happens if its on BBC Iplayer or U Tube video. Tried to watch the trailer for Angels and Demons just and it stopped and re buffered all the time.

Do I need to download a new driver or something?

No Margaret you need a faster internet connection.

We only have 3mb speed at the moment and ours buffers them as well.

It works fine on OH's PC. We use the same Internet connection.

I don't really know Margaret, but my son said it could be the difference in graphics cards or processing speeds between the laptop and the PC.

On YouTube, you could pause the movie and wait until it has fully loaded, then you should be able to watch it all the way through. Don't know if this also works with IPlayer.

There are quite a few tips here, Margaret. I wouldn't mess with the registry, but the others might be worth trying.
