No, SA isn't online, I'm afraid. However, I believe there are some discs with SA BMDs available, so perhaps someone may be able to do you a look-up.

If you like to PM me the details Rachel, I can put up a request on a local Perth list. I know some members there have South Australian resources.

        Thanks Mary and Beverly

At least I wasn't being dopey, unable to find it.

This is a search for a person whose surname is unknown, so not one I could ask for assistance with.

All I have is a first name and a photograph !

Oooo Beverly ... might you be able to put a photo of my mystery woman on your Perth list ?

I don't think you'll find any Australian BMDs on Ancestry, Rachel. Each State keeps its own records, and puts them online on its own site (if at all).

If you only have a first name, it's going to be a problem. Do you know who the person's parents were? If so, it may be feasible to search for them, because Australian BMDs include parents' Christian names.

Most States also have electoral rolls online (on Ancestry), but SA doesn't.

I'm afraid there's no information other than a first name and a photograph of her with her boyfriend (a great uncle of mine) taken in Adelaide 1917 ... so it's not going to be easy !!!

It's just that I've always wondered what happened to her after gt uncle's death in France (8 months later).

I really don't think I could ask anyone for a look up as there's so little to go on
