Where is Shepherd?

Shepherd Coulson was born in the Dec 1/4 1866 in Caistor Lincolnshire to Mary (nee Marshall) and George Coulson.

I can find him on the 1871 census...Class: RG10; Piece: 3420; Folio: 52; Page: 4; GSU roll: 839409.

And again in the 1881 census......Class: RG11; Piece: 3300; Folio: 82; Page: 12; Line: ; GSU roll: 1341786.

Then nothing.....no death...no marriage....nothing.

Any help would be appreciated.

There is a Shepherd Coulson b c 1867 who enlisted in the US army in 1888. Birthplace is listed as England on the index. The image gives a birthplace of - could possibly be Caistor.

I have ancestry but only UK and Australia.

You would presume that what you found most llikely is him...it is not exactly a common name

There is also a Shepherd Coulson on a New York directory, listed as a printer in 1888 - 1890.

No results in the US census.
