  • Warwickshire Help Please

I am struggling with a rather tiresome branch of my tree, the Trusloves. in particular Thomas Truslove, b1834, sawbridge Warwicks.
I have found out that Sawbridge did not have a church, and cannot seem to find what parish it would have come under at that time.
My Trusloves seemed to move about quite a bit, or so i thought, when looking at birthplaces, but i am wondering if they have listed their actual birthplace ( on census returns) and not the parish where they were christened, is this possible?

Not sure if this helps Jen, from Genuki

WOLFHAMCOTE, a parish in the hundred of Knightlow, county Warwick, 3 miles N.W. of Daventry. The parish comprises the hamlets of Flecnoe, Nethercote, and Sawbridge.

Ah yes elaine that does help, there are quite a few Trusloves listed in Wolfhamcote, in fact one that could possible be my Thomas.

many thanks for that, i shall go and peruse the IGI.

Might be worth contacting this lady, who's doing a Truslove one-name study:

                    Thanks Mary,
I did note sadly that nobody on FTF has any Trusloves, well according to the gedcom base anyway.

No problem - it actually came up on a google search.

I take it the Wolfhamcote ones were your branch?

There are some MIs in that name if you're interested:

The Hunimex site doesn't seem to be responding, so this link is to the Google cache.

                            Had you seen this?

                            Online Document IR 26/359
Administration letter of Thomas Truslove Farmer Wolfhamcote, Warwickshire . Proved in the Court of Lichfield. . Date: 1809.

EDIT: Sorry, just realised this is too early to be your Thomas, and his father is Henry.
