  • Turners, sawyers etc

It has been suggested that I may be able to find out a little more about the sawyers and turners in our FH from The Worshipful Company of Turners.
Does anyone know of these records, where they are available, and how much info would they reveal?
    Thankyou

Val, do you know for sure that your ancestors were members?

Anyway, you could contact them via this website and ask about the records:

Thankyou Kate, I have sent off an email, in the hopes I may be able to find out if records are available for FH research. I'll post here if I hear back from them.

Goodness, that was a quick reply back from them, I am impressed.

The records are held by the Guildhall Library and are available to the public, however he cautioned that it may be no more than a list of apprentices as records were not always 'lavish at that time'.

I shall have to think about my options now and whether it would be worth pursuing.
          Thankyou for your help.
