  • The Wood Family 1851 Census

Can anyone find three members of my Wood family in 1851?
I had forgotten that I had never found them.

Jane Wood Widow born 1793 Hampshire prob. Portsea or Gosport
Helen Charlotte Wood born 1827 chr. Gosport but might have been born in Portsea
Fanny Ada Wood born 20 Aug 1830 Portsmouth

On the 1841 census their surname is mistranscribed as "Mood". I found them on FMP first. However, FMP only has two counties for 1851.

Jane was a draper and died in 1857.
Edit: Jane died at Grosvenor Street, Southsea.

    UPDATE:

    Just found them under Woods.

Ancestry has really been playing up today. When I first searched it wouldn't give me ANY hits for Hampshire at all - they were all for up north. Then it crashed on me.

I have done the search upwards of 10 times this morning and it is only now that I have had a hit!!
