Police Records: Where should I start searching please?

I have a Charles William Dunn who was a Police Constable in Leeds according to the 1891 and 1911 census.
Is there a place I can start searching for his police records?

John.. Have a look if there is a police museum in Leeds, i got a lot of info for my Birmingham one from theirs.
My other one from Derby, the info came from Derby RO.
