Industrial Resident records?

I have an ancestor from Ireland, I am having trouble finding anything of him apart from the 1911 census. It stateshe is an engineers fitter and an Industrial Resident. Does anyone know if there are any records and where I might possibly ind them?

Are you sure it says Resident? Industrial Resident doesn't make any sense to me.

household transcript says resident, original says (under birthplace column) Rathdrum, Co Wicklow, Industrial Resident.

Perhaps he lived in a house attached to a factory.
