changing scan time on AVG?

Can anyone please tell me,in simple easy-to-understand language, how to change the scan time on AVG. At the moment it is set at 08 00 and have just realised that my computer is not usually on at that time of the morning!

Go to Tools/Advanced Settings and look under Schedules heading on the left.

Wendy.....done that and still can't see how to change the time. I am a bit thick when it comes to computers! Can you explain a bit more detail. I have version 8.0 I have just realised.

I have version 8.5, but I expect it's the same.

As Wendy said, click on Schedules, then on Scheduled scan.

Then where it says run at a specific time interval, set it to Every day and then change the time.

I changed my scheduled scan last week. Just got the instructions from their help menu by opening the AVG and clicking on 'help' at the top. It was very simple to do.

Thanks Mary and Wendy and Stella!.......Think I have done it now. Time will tell!! Have set it for 20 00 hours now instead of 8 in the morning.

What would I do without you people on here!

I always assumed it didnt matter as if its not switched on it does it when you do switch on anyway ??

It will check for updates when you turn your computer on but only scans at the scheduled time of day, unless you start it manually.
