I'm trying to decipher where Robert Taylor was born, he is the next to last on
HO107/2242/307/8 he is transcribed as Faylor.

I've had a look on another transcript and his place of birth is described as "Lose Bury" !

I lived in nearby in Bolton for a few years and I've never heard of anything even remotely coming close

    Any efforts welcome
    Thanks
    L

Think you need some Lancastrians on this one. Looks like Loose Bury

There's also a Loose near Maidstone, so loose women aren't confined to Lancashire.
